Changing a Check from Mandatory to Not Required

Zen Vetting can be tailored to suit your school’s specific requirements for the Single Central Record (SCR).

If a particular check is not applicable for a staff member or role, you can change it from ‘Mandatory’ to ‘Not Required’ by following these steps:

  1. Click on the vetting check you want to adjust.
  2. Use the toggle switch to turn the check on or off, depending on whether it is required.

Once turned off:

  • The check will no longer be marked as mandatory.
  • It will not count against the staff member’s vetting progress on the dashboard.

This allows you to customise the SCR to reflect your school’s policies while staying compliant with KCSIE requirements.
