Managing your notifications

You can control which notifications you receive from Zen Educate and how they are delivered.

Keeping the right notifications turned on means you will not miss new roles or important updates.

To get there: tap More in the bottom navigation bar, then tap Preferences, then tap Notifications.

Push notifications

These appear on your phone's lock screen or as alerts.

New messages - notifies you when a school or the Zen Educate team sends you a message.

Daily availability confirmation - a daily reminder to confirm whether you are available to work that day.

Number of available roles - notifies you when new supply roles are available that match your preferences.

Weekly availability confirmation - a weekly prompt to confirm your availability for the week ahead.

Email notifications

New messages - sends you an email when you receive a new message.

Job alert - emails you when new long term Jobs matching your preferences are posted.

To make sure you never miss a supply request, we recommend keeping No of available roles and New messages turned on for push notifications.

If you work daily supply regularly, turning on Daily availability confirmation will also help you stay visible to schools.

Not receiving notifications?

If you have the correct settings turned on in the app but are still not receiving notifications, the issue is usually with your phone's notification permissions rather than the app itself.

On iPhone: go to Settings → Notifications → Zen Educate and make sure notifications are allowed.

On Android: go to Settings → Apps → Zen Educate → Notifications and make sure notifications are enabled.

If you have checked both and notifications are still not coming through, get in touch and the team can look into it for you.

Marketing preferences

If you want to control whether Zen Educate can contact you for marketing purposes, tap More → Preferences → Marketing.

Here you can toggle on or off whether you are happy to be contacted by:

  • Email
  • Phone
  • Post

These settings only affect marketing communications from Zen Educate. Turning these off will not affect booking notifications, messages from schools, or any other operational communications.
