DBS Refunds
If you paid for your DBS check through Zen Educate, you can claim a refund once you have completed 10 working days with us.
Please note that the refund applies to your first DBS check only. If you have applied for a subsequent DBS through Zen Educate, the cost of that application is not eligible for a refund.
How to claim your refund
Once you have worked 10 days, email support@zeneducate.com with the subject line: DBS REFUND.
You will need to include the following:
- Your bank account number — 8 digits.
- Your sort code — 6 digits.
- Your DBS receipted invoice — this is attached to the payment confirmation email sent by uCheck when you paid for your DBS.
Bank statements and DBS certificates are not accepted as proof of payment. It must be the receipted invoice from uCheck.

How long does it take?
DBS refunds can take up to 60 working days from the date your request is submitted for the refund to reach your bank account.
