How to request your P45

How you do this depends on how you are paid.

If you are paid through an umbrella company - such as Generate, Workwell, AZebra, Key, or Giant — contact them directly to request your P45. You can find your pay provider's name and contact details in your Key Information Document. Open the app, tap More, then scroll down to find your Key Information Document.

If you are paid through Zen PAYE, email support@zeneducate.com to request your P45.


How long does it take?

It can take up to 14 working days for your P45 to be processed. Once it is ready, it will be sent directly to the email address registered with your pay provider.


Why have I received a P45 I did not request?

If you have received a P45 from your umbrella company without asking for one, it is likely because your employment contract with them has ended or gone inactive.

Most umbrella companies will automatically terminate employment if no timesheets have been submitted or no payments have been made for an extended period. Depending on the company, this is usually somewhere between four and twelve weeks.

If this has happened and you are still working through Zen Educate, contact your umbrella company directly to discuss reinstating your contract. If you are on Zen PAYE and have received a P45 unexpectedly, email support@zeneducate.com so the team can look into it.
