How to access our Safeguarding Training Package

Zen Educate’s online platform allows staff members to complete their safeguarding training in their own time. Schools can see which members of staff are doing the training and view progress.

Zen’s safeguarding course is accredited by CPD UK and has been written by Helen Woodward, former Head of School Improvement for the DfE and Adviser at Zen Educate and Rafik Iddin, Independent Safeguarding and Social Work Consultant.

The course has been successfully taken by 2000+ teachers, teaching assistants and SEN support staff who work with us. Over 94% of the participants rated the course as good or excellent.

How to invite your staff to take the course:

Go to training tab:

Once training is enabled for your school, on the left hand side menu you’ll see an option for “Training”. Click this to visit the training centre.

Add a teacher:

In the training centre, you can add new teachers to your two free places by inputting their name and email addresses.

Send an invite:

Click “Save” to send an invitation to that teacher. They will then be sent an email asking them to create a Zen training account, which is required to access the course. Once they have done this and set up a password, they can get started with their training. They can revisit the training and finish it over multiple sittings and download a certificate upon successful completion.

Tracking teacher progress:

Once a teacher begins the training, you can view their progress and see when they have successfully completed.

So in summary, to send invites for your staff to take the course, just follow these simple steps:

  • Ensure that training is enabled for your school (contact us if it is not enabled yet and you are interested in trying it out)
  • Click on the "Training" tab on the left hand side of the menu to visit the Training Centre.
  • Add a teacher by inputting their name and email address.
  • Click “Save” to send an invitation to that teacher.
  • Once a teacher begins the training, you can view their progress in the Training Centre.
