How to Report a Lateness
If you are running late for a booking, let the school know as soon as possible through the app. Do not wait until you arrive.
Why it matters
Schools depend on educators arriving on time. Even a short delay can disrupt the start of the school day and put pressure on staff to cover until you arrive.
Arriving more than 2 hours late without prior notice counts as a no-show and your booking may be cancelled. Repeated lateness can also affect the number of requests you receive and your standing on the platform.
Whenever possible, schedule personal or medical appointments during school holidays or outside of school hours.
How to report a lateness
- Open the app and tap Calendar
- Tap the booking you are running late for
- Tap the message icon to message the school
- Include your expected arrival time and a brief reason for the delay
- Tap Send
Keep your message clear and to the point — this helps the school adjust their plans quickly without unnecessary back and forth.
Tip: if you have messaged this school before, you can access the conversation quickly via the messages icon at the top right of the app.
