Managing your Availability
Keeping your availability up to date means you only receive booking requests on days you can actually work and helps schools get covered by the right people at the right time.
Marking yourself as unavailable
If you have a day off, holiday, or regular commitment coming up, block it out in the app so you do not receive requests on those days.
- Tap Calendar in the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the date you want to block out
- Choose to block a single day or a longer stretch of dates - useful for holidays or recurring commitments
- Select a reason from the list. If nothing fits, choose Other and add a note
Blocked days will appear shaded in your Calendar so you can see at a glance when you are unavailable.
Marking yourself as available
If you have previously blocked out dates and your plans have changed, you can remove the block in the same way - tap the shaded date in your Calendar and update or remove the unavailability.
Why this matters
If your availability is not up to date, you may receive requests on days you cannot work and ignoring requests repeatedly can affect your reliability record. Keeping your calendar accurate is the simplest way to avoid this.
