Getting Daily Supply work

This article will run through the basics of accepting work on the Zen app.

In order to start receiving supply requests, you must have completed the onboarding process. If you have not yet done this, please see our article on getting set up with Zen!

Now that you have completed your onboarding, you will be available to receive work from schools in your area!

Please make sure you have downloaded the Zen App so that you can see all available requests.

Receiving booking requests

When a school in your area requests cover, Zen will send out booking requests to educators in the area who's preferences match the requirements of the role.

To ensure that the role is filled, most requests are sent to multiple candidates. Occasionally, a request may be accepted by another candidate. If this happens, the role will no longer be available.

If a request is created that matches your travel and work preferences, it will appear in the Supply tab of the Zen app. To ensure that you are able to respond to requests quickly, we strongly advise that you allow push notifications, so that you know when a new request comes in.

đź’ˇWhen you download the app, you will be prompted to allow push notifications. If you are not sure if push notifications are enabled, head to the Notifications section in your device's system settings.

Accepting a request

Once you receive a booking request, review all the details to ensure you are happy with everything. This includes dates, times, and work requirements; these will all be shown in the booking details.

If everything looks good, then click confirm! You will receive a booking confirmation, and your booking will appear in the Calendar tab of the app.

âť—Once you accept a role, you will not be able to accept or see any other requests for the duration of the booking. Make sure you are available and able to work!

If you don't think you can make the booking, or if it's not the right role for you, then feel free to decline the request. If you're not available on the day(s) in question, make sure to update your calendar accordingly to avoid receiving any additional requests.

If you are unable to make your booking, please see our Absence Reporting article.

On the day of the booking

Please make sure to check your travel plans ahead of time to ensure you arrive on time to your booking. We advise that you aim to arrive 10 minutes early in case of traffic or other delays; this also gives you time to settle in at the school before starting!

You must always bring the following documents with to every booking:

  • ID (Passport)
  • DBS certificate (Physical copy only)

If you arrive at the school without these documents, you may be turned away without compensation.
